Two Wheel Spinner
Spin two wheels together to create random combinations. One wheel sits inside the other, each with its own list, so a single spin picks one entry from each: a name and a prize, a team and an activity, a student and a topic. Each wheel draws its own result, and the two are shown together as one sentence.
Why use this wheel
- Two separate lists on one spinner, up to 100 entries on each wheel.
- One spin gives you a combination instead of a single pick.
- Spin both wheels together, or redraw just one and keep the other result.
- Write your own result sentence, for example “{outer} presents {inner}”.
- Optionally remove each round’s winners so nobody is picked twice, with a history of the last 20 rounds.
- Free and ready straight away: no signup, and your lists are kept in this browser.
Common uses
- Names and prizes. Participants on the outer wheel, prizes on the inner wheel. Each spin says who gets what.
- Team and activity. Put teams on one wheel and challenges or games on the other to decide who plays what next.
- Classroom activities. Pair a student with a topic, a question or a reading task without anyone choosing their own.
- Random decisions. Combine two separate choices, such as a day and a dish or a place and a time, into one decision.
- Games and giveaways. Build rounds for party games, warm-ups and prize draws where the fun is in the combination.
In-depth guide
How does a two wheel spinner pick a result?
The two wheels share a centre but work independently. Each one has its own entries and its own pointer at the top, and each draws its winner before it starts moving, using the same secure random pick as SpinOfLuck’s main wheel. The inner wheel landing on “Gold Prize” has no effect on who the outer wheel lands on.
When both wheels stop, the two results are joined into one line, such as “Rahul wins the Gold Prize!”. You can spin both again, or spin only the outer or the inner wheel to change one half of the combination.
Why combine two lists instead of one?
A single wheel answers one question: who, or what. Many everyday choices are really two questions at once, such as who presents and which topic, or which team and which challenge. Writing every possible pair onto one wheel quickly becomes unmanageable: six names and four prizes would already need 24 slices. Two wheels keep the lists short and readable, and every pairing is still possible.
How to use two wheel spinner
- Add entries to the outer wheel. Open the Multi-Wheel and type one entry per line in the Outer wheel tab, for example everyone taking part.
- Add different entries to the inner wheel. Switch to the Inner wheel tab and add the second list, such as prizes, topics or tasks.
- Spin and read the combination. Press Spin both wheels. Each wheel stops on its own result, and the result card shows the pair together.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a two wheel spinner?
- A spinner with two wheels on the same centre, an outer wheel and a smaller inner wheel. Each wheel has its own list, so one spin picks an entry from each and gives you a combination.
- Can I spin two wheels at the same time?
- Yes. Spin both wheels lets them turn together and stop one after the other. You can also spin only the outer or only the inner wheel.
- What can I use a two wheel spinner for?
- Anything that pairs two choices: a participant and a prize, a team and an activity, a student and a topic, or two halves of a decision.
- Can I put different entries on each wheel?
- Yes, that is the point of it. Each wheel has its own list of up to 100 entries, edited in its own tab.
- Is the two wheel spinner free?
- Yes. It is free to use with no signup and no ads, and your lists are kept in your browser.
- How do I use the two wheel spinner?
- Open the Multi-Wheel, add one list to the outer wheel and another to the inner wheel, then press Spin both wheels. For a public giveaway where entrants need to check the draw, use a verifiable draw instead.
